📶 How to Connect My Printer to WiFi

General wireless setup guide — works for most modern printers.

📶 Method 1: Wireless Setup Wizard (Most Printers)

  1. Turn on your printer and make sure it is not connected via USB
  2. On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless or WiFi button
  3. Navigate to Settings → Wireless Setup Wizard
  4. Select your WiFi network name (SSID) from the list
  5. Enter your WiFi password using the keypad or touchscreen
  6. Wait for the WiFi light to turn solid blue or green (not blinking)
  7. Print a Wireless Test Report to confirm the connection

📱 Method 2: WPS Button (No Password Needed)

  1. Make sure your router has a WPS button (most modern routers do)
  2. On your printer, go to Settings → Wireless → WPS
  3. Select Push Button method
  4. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router
  5. The printer will automatically connect — no password required
  6. WiFi light becomes solid when connected successfully

ⓘ WPS must be enabled on your router. If you have a newer router with WPS disabled for security, use Method 1 instead.

⚠ WiFi Connection Not Working? Try These Fixes
Printer can't find the WiFi network Make sure your printer supports 2.4GHz WiFi — many printers don't support 5GHz. Check that your router broadcasts 2.4GHz and try connecting to that band.
WiFi password not accepted Passwords are case-sensitive. Try re-entering it carefully. If your password contains special characters, try temporarily simplifying it or use the WPS method instead.
Connected to WiFi but can't print Make sure your computer is on the same WiFi network as the printer. Check that no VPN is running on your computer — VPNs can block local printer discovery.
WiFi light keeps blinking A blinking WiFi light means the printer is searching but not connected. Restart the printer and router, then try the Wireless Setup Wizard again from the beginning.
